Far Out Magazine 近期報導揭露，The Cure 主唱 Robert Smith 曾在 1990 年代中期對音樂徹底失去熱情，認為自己已過了創作巔峰。直到他接觸到 Mogwai 於 1997 年發行的首張專輯《Young Team》，反覆聆聽長達數年，才重燃創作動力，並直接催生了 The Cure 的《Bloodflowers》（1999）。
