BBC 6 Music 推出 Indie Forever 串流頻道，The Killers、Oasis 等列入播放清單
BBC Radio 6 Music 宣布，全新 BBC Sounds 延伸頻道「Indie Forever」將於 2026 年 7 月 22 日（週三）正式上線，提供 24 小時不間斷的 indie pop、rock 及 1980 至 2010 年代以降的經典曲目，僅在 BBC Sounds 平台播出。據 BBC 說明，英國藝人將佔播放清單的 70%，收錄藝人涵蓋 The Stone Roses、Oasis、Blur、Pulp、The Verve、The Strokes、Arctic Monkeys、The Killers、Florence + The Machine、Yeah Yeah Yeahs、The xx、Wolf Alice、The 1975、Sam Fender 及 Blossoms 等。
節目陣容
頻道開播首播節目為《The Morning Session with Steve Lamacq & Felix White》，由資深廣播人 Steve Lamacq 與 The Maccabees 吉他手 Felix White 聯合主持，每週一至週五播出，聚焦英國 indie 音樂歷史上的關鍵時刻、場景、廠牌與人物。節目定位為向 Radio 1 傳奇節目《Evening Session》致敬——後者與 Britpop 及 1990 年代 indie 浪潮關係密切。
Lamacq 在官方聲明中表示，他期待每個工作日早晨與 Felix 一同在《The Morning Session》重溫那些「塑造英國獨立音樂」的故事。
週五與週六，The Gossip 主唱 Beth Ditto 將主持《Indie Forever Disco》，每集兩小時，播放 indie 舞池熱曲。Ditto 稍早已加入 BBC 6 Music 週末節目陣容。Jarvis Cocker 現行節目《Someday Service》將於週六重播；其 2010 至 2017 年間主持的《Sunday Service》檔案集數則從 8 月 2 日起於週日播出。
頻道另設《City Soundtracks》單元，由 6 Music 與 BBC Introducing 的 Emily Pilbeam 主持，與 Music Venue Trust 合作製作，深入英國各地獨立場館，記錄在地 indie 場景並介紹草根世代新興藝人。
典藏內容與藝人專輯
Indie Forever 亦將重播《The Rise And Fall Of The Smiths》及《The Rise And Fall (And Rise Again) Of Oasis》兩部紀錄節目，並推出 The Smiths 與 Oasis 的藝人專輯單元。Oasis 相關內容包含 1996 年 Knebworth 演出精選、Liam 與 Noel Gallagher 1997 年接受《Evening Session》專訪，以及 Noel 於 2001 年錄製的建團十年回顧。
其他典藏素材涵蓋 Arctic Monkeys、The Strokes 及 The Smiths 的歷史訪談與 session 錄音。從 8 月起，週末藝人專輯單元將陸續聚焦 The Strokes、Yeah Yeah Yeahs、Wolf Alice、The White Stripes 及 Biffy Clyro。
